Malwa Barbers Chair

HI everyone
Hope someone can help I have a Malwa chair that H.D. Wills company sent over to Australia back in the 30s it has a timber base with the M and wooden brush as decor piece . I’m restoring it atm and would like to know if I should chrome the metal parts or go powder coat. I’m looking for a headrest as well.can anyone help.

Have just myself today started pulling apart for restoration, a similar Malwa barbers chair, as you describe.
Although it has been a fair while since your post, perhaps you may be able to let me know how you got on with your restoration. Can you provide any pix of the restoration and final result. They would be interesting to compare. With thanks in anticipation. Cheers!
