I own a barbershop in Michigan, we have for 1957 koch chairs. Does anybody know how to rebuild the brakes? Only 1 of the 4 chairs has working brakes. Any help will be much appreciated.

The rod inside the crank handle has worn and needs replacing.
Fairly easy to do but the cushion steel base must be removed from the supporting flange.
