I need to Identify this chair. It has no markings or plates anywhere except 2 places on the foot rest.
it looks very much like a KOKEN but it has “US Barber Furniture Mfg Co Chicago” on one of the footrest pieces. I cannot find any information on that company.Could it have been made by Koken for them?

In your case its a simple regional item.. To verify that it is a koken or any other maker you simply just take off parts and look at numbers.
The brackets that hold the arm is easy… I personally would pull the short arms and check those against known numbers…just look up on ebay..( #### koken) etc.
The part numbers are the telling factor…the badges and names on foot rests would have been made by a local artist in a foundry and then a distributor or supply company would look like they had more “good standing” with lines of there own chairs giving rise to more money in there pocket. I have seen about 7 different never heard of chairs…the feet are very collectable alone.
Remember every part on every major brand of chair has a number somewhere without fail.
