I just purchased two chairs that I thought were mid-century modern era, but the label on the back of the chair reads, “Theo A Kochs Company Manufacturers,” “Chicago USA,” “Patent Pending.”

I plan on refinishing and replacing the cushions, but I hated to before making sure the chairs weren’t collectibles. I can’t find anything from Theo A Kochs online except for the barber chairs. We did find quite a bit of hair in the sides of the chairs, but these chairs don’t look anything like others I can find. I have a photo of the chairs and the label, but I can’t figure out how to attach them here. If someone has info. I’d be glad to send the pics.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!
